In 1976, Diffie and Helman proposed an alternative cryptographic method with the undoubtedly proven advantages of the original document - the public key and the secret key method. By 1978, three professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Rivcst, Shamir, and Adelman) published an RSA implementation of the public-key and secret-key approach. So far, no one can break the RSA count. The public key and the secret key use a key that is calculated from two very large prime numbers (> 10 ~ (100)). The two factors of the key constitute their public and private parts, respectively. This public part is found in a public directory, but each private part is only known to the person using it.
