An easy preparation of tetrahydropyranyl (THP) ethers of alcohols andphenols with 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran (DHP) in refluxing dichloromethane has been carriedout in good to excellent yields under catalysis of anhydrous ferrous sulfate.
