档案工作者肩负着记录历史、传承文明、服务社会、造福人民的重要使命。不负历史的重责和人民的托付,是塑造档案人价值取向的客观要求。档案人的价值取向,就是档案工作者关于价值的一定的信念、主张、态度,它对人的行为取向和评价原则有着重要作用,是基于档案事业的发展和档案工作的开展产生形成的个人内在的思想动因、生活态度和以践行工作职责为主要内容的价值观念的总和。我国正处于落实科学发展观、构建社会主义和谐社会的新的历史起点上,面临着转变经济增长方式、建设创新型国家、建设社会主义新农村等一系列重大而艰巨的历史任务,面临着改革的不断深化所引起的社会深层次矛盾和问题,面临着种种光怪陆离的现象,这些都对人们的价值取向产生了深刻的影响。在这种大社会背景下,档案工作者应抱有一种什么样的人生价值取向?这个问题不得不引起我们思考。

The value orientation of archivists is the certain faith, proposition and attitude of archivists about value, which plays an important role in the orientation of human behavior and the evaluation principle. It is based on the development of archives and the development of archival work. The ideological motivation, attitude to life and practice the job responsibilities as the main content of the sum of values. Our country is at a new historic starting point of implementing the scientific concept of development and building a harmonious socialist society, facing a series of major and arduous historical tasks of transforming the pattern of economic growth, building an innovative country and building a new socialist countryside, facing the problems of reform Deepening the deep-seated conflicts and problems in society, facing all kinds of bizarre phenomena, all of which have a profound impact on people’s value orientation. Under such a big social background, what kind of values orientation should the archivists have? This question has to arouse our thinking.
