Markets are typical and common to most Turkish cities, and they are the point of social cohesion, the hub of the economy, the landmark buildings, or the temporary parks. However, in the rapidly growing Sudan Gaz district of Istanbul, it remains to be seen how such a universal market can be established. In order to solve this problem, Suyabatmaz Demirel Architects proposed a construction scheme with market and parking functions in this populated residential area.
