The great times need great branding. The rapid growth of China’s economy for more than 30 years is precisely the process of running from “Made in China” to “Chinese brands”. On May 10, 2017, the first “Chinese Brand Day” was born. This special day was set up to promote the whole society’s understanding of brands from fuzzy perception to rational awareness, from cognitive brand identity to the pursuit of brand premium, from the concept of cognitive brand to the emphasis on brand value, and then into action. On the previous day, nine ministries and commissions, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, uttered collective voices.
