Yugoslavian scholar M. Vukobratovic is currently chairing the preparation of a series entitled Scientific Funda-mentals of Robotics, Volume I entitled “Operational Robot Dynamics” (“Mechanics”), Book 2 The “Control of Robotics” (“Control”) was published by Springer-Verlag in 1982. The author seeks to fill the gap between theory and practical application and provides a rich set of reference books for professionals involved. In Mechanics, the author clarified the significance of manipulating robot dynamics and dynamic control, and considered that the study of mechanical properties of robots is an indispensable prerequisite for the rational design of high-quality robots.
