本研究课题把籼稻的抗褐稻虱基因经过籼,粳杂交,并选用具有抗性的粳型中间材料连续复交,使籼稻的抗褐稻虱基因导入粳稻内,从而育成具有中抗褐稻虱的中熟晚粳新品种“沪粳抗”,从而填补了国内外粳稻抗褐虱品种的空白。“沪粳抗”其抗性等级属中抗偏上,在“沪粳抗”上生活的褐稻虱若虫存活率低,成虫产卵量少,导致种群数量增殖缓慢,不易达到造成危害的水平,在褐稻虱的一般发生年份不需要用药防治,即使在特大发生年也只需防治一次即可,因此可节省农本,减少污染和保护害虫的天敌
