鉴于高等院校所开设的公共英语教学模式已经不能满足学生的实际需要,专门用途英语(ESP)不得不被引入高等院校公共英语教学中。本文通过问卷的形式对学生的ESP学习需求进行了调查。调查结果表明,学生希望教师充分利用教材和教学环境,侧重培养他们的ESP交际能力。学生的学习需求分析结果对ESP教学产生一定的启示作用,教师不但需要提高自身英语和专业知识水平,而且要进一步改进教学策略。
In view of the fact that public English teaching mode offered by institutions of higher learning can no longer meet the actual needs of students, ESP has to be introduced into public English teaching in colleges and universities. This paper investigates the student’s ESP learning needs in the form of a questionnaire. The survey results show that students want teachers to make full use of teaching materials and teaching environment, focusing on developing their ESP communication skills. Students’ learning needs analysis results have a certain enlightenment on ESP teaching, teachers not only need to improve their English and professional knowledge, but also to further improve teaching strategies.
