初识忠良,颇觉其人实在。他忠厚又不乏诗意,是将艺术细胞存之于心海,流之于笔端,而不是常挂于口中之人。他热爱生活,吝惜时间与生命,始终以真诚积极的态度对待人生与艺术。1992年12月,他从河北景县应征入伍,来到了驻京某部服役。业余时间,独自学帖临碑,如痴如醉,乐此不疲。他常常穿行于京城各大博物馆、展览馆和高校看名家书画摄影展;浏览都市的各报刊头题画;看商场的招牌和单位的门牌题字;观名家老师和同学的好字好画。两次解放军艺术学院学习进修的经历,使他能够置身于浓郁的艺术氛围里,广泛涉猎
