清华大学图书馆自动化部主任安树兰研究员向我们推荐了一组有关图书情报新技术方面的文章。本期发表的是第一篇。安树兰同志在给本刊的推荐意见中认为:随着计算机技术与网络技术的快速发展,图书馆已经进入重大变革的关键时期。网络化、电子化、虚拟化已是本世纪末的发展方向,并即将成为现实。随着这一变革,办馆方针、采访政策与方法、馆藏的衡量标准,以及服务内容和方法等等方面必然会有新的观念、新的方法、新的技术手段出现。当前 Internet 的快速发展,已不仅为图书馆的发展提供了一个良好的舞台,也已推动图书馆向新的方向快速变革。作为一个图书馆员,若不了解 Internet,不懂得如何使用,那将是一个无法弥补的遗憾。清华大学图书馆近几年来,除了抓紧本馆业务管理工作自动化,广泛开通读者查询服务以外,一直在跟踪与研究 Internet 的发展动向及最新技术。目前已经初步建立了虚拟图书馆的服务框架,不久即将面向读者开放服务。他们愿借《北京图书馆馆刊》向大家陆续介绍有关的资料,供同仁参考,以促进我国图书情报事业兴旺发达。
Researcher An Lulan, director of automation department of Tsinghua University Library, recommended to us a group of articles on new technology of library information. This issue is the first one. Comrade An Lulan pointed out in his recommendation to this magazine: With the rapid development of computer technology and network technology, libraries have entered a crucial period of major change. Network, electronic, virtualization is the direction of development at the end of this century, and will soon become a reality. With this change, there will inevitably be new concepts, new methods and new technical means in regard to policy of office administration, interview policies and methods, standards of collection of books, service contents and methods, etc. The current rapid development of the Internet has not only provided a good stage for the development of the library but also hastened the rapid change of the library in a new direction. As a librarian, without understanding the Internet, do not know how to use, it will be an irreparable regret. In recent years, Tsinghua University Library has been tracking and studying the development trend of the Internet and the latest technologies in addition to speeding up the automation of its own library business management and opening up a wide range of readers’ inquiry services. Has initially established a virtual library service framework, will soon be open to readers. They are willing to use “Beijing Library Museum” to introduce one after another to the relevant information for colleagues reference to promote the prosperity of China’s library and information industry.
