The end of the Cold War has had a significant impact on the development of the tank industry. All countries in the world have reduced their armaments one after another. Even the United States, which claims to be “the world police” and dispatches troops to various parts of the world, is also carrying out arms reductions. At present, all European countries are following this trend. Among the European countries, the largest reduction in armaments was in Germany, which was once divided into two countries, East and West, and at the forefront of the confrontation between East and West camps. After the reunification of the East and West Germany in 1990, the two major military forces were merged. For the reunified Germany, such a huge military power has actually become a burden. To this end, Germany decided to retired a large number of equipment.
