由于鲎试剂在药剂工作中的应用,各医院药剂科有不少有关鲎试剂操作的经验及论文报道.热原,是指进入机体后能引起机体发生异常热反应的一类物质。包括了微生物及其代谢产物、细菌及其尸体、立克次体、霉菌、病毒、不溶性微粒、内外毒素等等。其中以G~-杆菌产生的内毒素致热力最强,因此也有热原就是内毒素之说法也仅能说内毒素是引起热原的主要因素.鲎试剂法是利用鲎的变形细胞与微量内毒素产生凝集反应的现象,作为判断供试品中细菌内毒素限量是否符合规定的一种方法.鲎试剂对内毒素特别敏感,很微量的内毒素即可检出.但对非内毒素引起的热原,则不敏感.
