Based on the theory of leadership change, this study examines the regulatory role of the top management team in the mediation of middle-level leaders’ career interests and leadership performance. Because the business environment is complex, leaders often face the interaction of multiple scenarios simultaneously. The influence of a single scenario on the relationship between professional interests and performance of leaders changes significantly after joining another scenario, that is, the regulatory role of one scenario may be affected by other scenarios. Based on this understanding, we first study the regulatory roles of the three sub-dimensions of the top management team. Based on this, we combine the three sub-dimensions with each other, and further use group regression analysis and simple slope significance test to examine the effects of the two scenarios How the interaction regulates the relationship between professional interests and performance of the leader.
