辽豆3号是辽宁省1984年初命名推广的大豆新品种。1983年全省试种8,000亩,1984年扩大到20万亩。这个品种在三年品种对比试验中,平均比对照品种铁丰18号增产12.9％。辽豆3号幼苗生长比较缓慢,而我省春季气温较低,十年九旱,正有利于植株蹲苗,形成比较发达的根系。根系强壮发达,可以扩大吸收水分和养分范围,并能抵抗以后出现的恶劣环境。辽豆3号开花期长,且始花早,在沈阳地区,一般进入6月下旬就开花,至7月未结束。正常年份,辽宁中部和东部地区6月下旬即进入雨季,因而能满足开花结荚阶段对水分的需要。即使有短期干
