Objective: To study the proportion of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells in the peripheral blood of asthmatic children and to explore its clinical significance. Methods: The expression of CD4 + CD25 + Treg and its regulatory gene FOXP3 in peripheral blood of children with acute asthma were detected by flow cytometry with intracellular staining and compared with healthy controls. Results: The percentage of CD4 and CD25 positive cells in peripheral blood of children with acute asthma was not significantly different from that of healthy controls (P> 0.05), but the percentage of CD4 + CD25 + FOXP3 regulatory T cells in peripheral blood was significantly lower In healthy control group (P <0.01). Conclusion: The percentage of CD4 + CD25 + FOXP3 regulatory T cells in peripheral blood of asthmatic children decreased significantly in peripheral blood, which may be related to the pathogenesis of asthma.
