机床基础理论是研究那些在机床设计中，对提高机床性能、质量具有一般规律性的基本技术问题的科学。没有一定的基础理论科学的研究，就不可能使机床工业发生质的飞跃。因此，加强机床基础理论的研究，对于机床产品性能质量的提高和生产技术的发展，对于走我国自己工业发展道路、赶超世界先进水平，都具有重要意义。为了引起读者对机床基础理论研究工作的重视，普及这方面的基本知识，推动这项工作的广泛开展，本刊特开办《机床基础理论讲座》 《讲座》将分若干讲分期连续刊出。欢迎读者提出意见。
The basic theory of machine tools is to study those who in the machine tool design, to improve the performance of machine tools, the quality of the general law of the basic technical issues of science. Without a certain amount of basic science research, it is impossible to make a qualitative leap in the machine tool industry. Therefore, to strengthen the research on the basic theory of machine tools is of great significance to improve the performance and quality of machine tool products and the development of production technology, and to go along with our own industrial development and catch up with and surpass the world advanced level. In order to arouse readers’ attention to the basic theoretical research of machine tools and to popularize the basic knowledge in this respect and to promote the extensive development of this work, this journal publishes “Lectures on Basic Theory of Machine Tools” to be published continuously in different stages.
