语言变异是偏离语言常规的语言形式,在意识流小说中,语言符号以多种变异形式服务全文情境和人物情感。文章基于詹姆斯·乔伊斯的意识流小说《尤利西斯》,分析词汇变异、语音变异、语法变异和语域变异四种语言变异形式在小说中的功能与作用。语言变异现象在《尤利西斯》中不仅极具表意功能,也能有效地刻画和再现人物的内心世界与情感内涵。
Linguistic variation is a linguistic form deviating from the language convention. In the novels of stream of consciousness, the linguistic signages serve the full-text situations and the emotions of the characters in many variations. Based on James Joyce’s stream-of-consciousness novel Ulysses, this essay analyzes the function and function of the four variations of linguistic variation, phonetic variation, grammatical variation and register variation in the novel. The phenomenon of language variation in Ulysses is not only highly ideological function, but also can effectively depict and reproduce the inner world and emotional connotation of the characters.
