桑树杂种优势的利用研究始于50年代中期,70年代至80年代初筛选出一些符合育种目标的杂交组合。这些一代杂交桑(简称杂交桑,下同)具有快速、低本、高效的优势。从而开辟出适应生产需要、取代嫁接的良桑繁殖的新途径。现已在粤、皖、浙、苏、川、晋、鲁、湘、豫、鄂等10省的蚕区推广。一、主要特点生产实践证明,杂交桑的表现主要有以下几个方面。 1、产叶量高:杂交桑在长江流域地区,一般亩产叶量为2,000—2,500公斤,珠江流域则高达3,500—4,000公斤以上。据中国蚕研所、安徽和湖南等调查,丰驰杂交桑亩植500株的产叶量比湖
