瑞士的玛丽·何赛皇后作曲大奖赛是一个较有影响的国际音乐比赛。自1960年创办以来,每两年举行一次。参赛者不论国籍和年龄,旨在鼓励有才华的作曲家。每届只评选一部获奖作品。1990年举办的这一比赛已是第十六届。参赛作品规定为用11至22件弦乐器和一件木管乐器,时间为12至25分钟之间的交响乐作品。 1990年11月16日,在瑞士举行了本届比赛大奖的揭晓仪式。亲任比赛主任的玛丽·何赛皇后圣驾光临,法定代表当众从密封的封信中取出获奖名单——中国作曲家朱践耳的应征作品,为竹笛和22件弦乐而作的室内交响曲——《第四交响曲》荣获本届比赛的大奖。这是中国作曲家第一次获得该奖。
The Queen Marie Ho Sai Queen’s Composer Grand Prix in Switzerland is an influential international music competition. Since its inception in 1960, held every two years. The contestants, irrespective of their nationality and age, aim to encourage talented composers. Only one winners per selection. The competition held in 1990 is already the 16th. The entries are set for symphonic work between 11 and 22 stringed instruments and a woodwind instrument for between 12 and 25 minutes.
