青海省乐都县湟水砂金矿床,位于湟水河中段,为河漫滩冲积型,具中型规模,有很广阔的找矿前景。 该矿床以东,在湟水河的主流及支流还发现有六处砂金矿点,可供进一步工作,该区附近的黄河河谷盆地—官亭盆地、大通河的门源盆地、河西走廊东端的哈溪等处,砂金矿化普遍。因此,对湟水砂金矿床地质特征及其砂金富集规律的分析研究,不仅为矿床的地质研究所必须,而且也有助于对该区域金矿地质特征的认识。
