This article elaborates the special practice of designing the daily adjustment pool of small hydropower station in Xinjiang, and points out that the use of geothermal heating and ice sheet insulation are the keys to success. And put forward the specific design methods for the planning and arrangement of day regulating ponds, the determination of melting ice storage capacity and the design of import and export.
