多肽与蛋白激素的研究近年来有了飞速的发展。由于实验技术的进步,新的激素不断被发现,结构很快地得到阐明;很多激素和激素类似物已用人工方法合成并在实际上广泛应用。激素在高等生物体内形成了一个很完整的调控体系,它们自上而下层层控制,又从下而上通过反馈而相互制约,有些激素从正反两个方面作用于同一组织而保持体内代谢的平衡。现按自上而下的顺序列出多肽与蛋白激素的一览表。氨基酸的排列顺序用单个字母表示如下:
Research on peptides and protein hormones has been rapidly developed in recent years.
