石油工业部古生物工作会议于1983年十月十二日至二十一日在北京举行。这是我部建国以来第一次古生物专业工怍会议。出席这次会议的有来自全国30个石油单位的90名代表,部领导和有关司、局、院、所及部出版社领导参加了这次会议。会议总结交流了经验,明确了今后的任务,制定了各项措施。会议期间,代表们回顾了我部古生物工作的发展历程。在建国初期,石油系统古生物专业工作者不到十人,开展门类仅3—4个。而今古生物科技人员已近四百人,形成了一支具有一定技术素质和学术水平的古生物科研队伍。开展了20多个门类的研究。三十多年来,古生物工作者配合各个时期的油气勘探,完成了数以百万计、千万计的样品采集、分析鉴定
The Ministry of Petroleum Industry paleontology conference was held in Beijing from October 12 to January 21, 1983. This is the first palaeontology meeting since the founding of our country. Attending this meeting, 90 delegates from 30 oil units nationwide, leaders of the ministries departments, and leaders of relevant departments, bureaus, institutes and departments attended the meeting. The meeting summed up the exchange of experience, defined the tasks for the future, and formulated various measures. During the meeting, the delegates reviewed the development of the paleontology work in our ministry. In the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, less than 10 petroleum professionals were involved in palaeontology, and only 3-4 were carried out. Today, there are nearly 400 biological and scientific personnel, forming a paleontological research team with a certain technical quality and academic standards. Conducted more than 20 categories of research.
