农村地区正在飞速变化,需要培养青年人学会把握新的机遇。农业同样也在改变,出现了新的技术、产品、市场和商业环境。众多农村居民需要从事非农业活动,或是迁往城市地区。要把握这些机会,所有人都需要掌握不同于父辈的技能,但教育和培训系统还没有准备好应对这一挑战。本次会议分析讨论了教育、技能培养和农村变革之间的关联,探讨农村社区面临的势不可挡的变革力量,以及教育如何通过培养人们掌握适当的知识、技能和提倡尊重人类尊严的价值观,扩大人们的选择范围,增强他们实现这些选择的能力。
Rural areas are rapidly changing, and young people need to be trained to learn new opportunities. Agriculture is also changing as new technologies, products, markets and business conditions emerge. Many rural residents need to engage in non-agricultural activities or relocate to urban areas. To take these opportunities, everyone needs skills that are different from their parents, but education and training systems are not yet ready to meet this challenge. The meeting analyzed and discussed the linkages between education, skills development and rural change, exploring the overwhelming transformational forces that rural communities face and how education can expand people’s lives by fostering people’s knowledge, skills and values that promote respect for human dignity The scope of their choices and their ability to achieve these choices.
