中频感应炉是铸造车间的主要设备,其工作的稳定性、可靠性及安全性是流水作业的铸造生产线正常稳定工作的保证。目前,感应熔炼炉得到迅速发展,渐有取代冲天炉之势。感应炉除能在大气中熔炼外﹐还能在真空和氬﹑氦等保护气氛中熔炼﹐以满足特殊质量的要求。与其他熔炼炉相比,除了熔炼原理之外,还有如下的特点:
