Extensive reading is usually regarded as the major way of input for English language learners in universities.However,the extensive reading course has always been suffering from unfair treatment and under severe criticism for many problems.This article aims to uncover the problems with the institutional part,teachers and students.Corresponding solutions are proposed to tackle the identified problems.
