September 25, 2009 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of DHL, the world’s leading express delivery and logistics company. In 1969, three young people jointly created a new industry in the United States: international air express. The company was eventually named with the initials of the three founder surnames: Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn. For more than 40 years, DHL has established a leading position in all segments of the logistics industry and has become the world’s largest provider of air and sea freight, international express delivery and contract logistics.
