太和县在开展群众短途运输运动中,全县十一个人民公社先后都组织了专业运输队,每个生产大队也都组织了副业运输队,为了巩固提高群众短途运输运动,太和县于去年11月间对公社专业运输队,进行了两次整顿,加强了党的领导,建立了管理机构,合理处理收益分配,大搞交通建设和改革民间运输工具,使运输效率得到大大提高,节省了大量劳动力。目前,全县参加运输的劳动力由去年短途运输运动高潮中三万二千人减少
