全苏联勘探技术研究所（ВИТР）和地质勘探队合作，对当前岩石分级表中合理的回次提钻长度问题进行了分析与研究。作者收集了4240回次的资料（即钻进了12750米），证明岩石分级表上所规定的长度是不合理的，因它没有考虑到岩心钻探主要质量指标——岩心采取率。例如，按其表规定钻进时，岩心采取率，Ⅰ级岩石仅能得到20％，在Ⅱ级岩石仅得42％，均不能满足地质上的要求。
The All-Russian Institute of Exploration Technology (ВИТР), in cooperation with the Geological Exploration Brigade, conducted a study and analysis of the reasonable length of backhoe withdrawing in the current rock classification table. The authors collected 4240 rounds of data (that is, 12,750 meters of drilling) to prove that the length specified on the rock classification table is unreasonable because it did not take into account the core quality measure of core drilling - the core recovery rate. For example, when drilling according to the table, the core take rate, grade I rock can only get 20%, only 42% grade II rock, can not meet the geological requirements.
