日前,一位朋友感叹:如果中国能拥有制造数码相机的核心技术,那么日本公司就不会把数码相机卖得这么贵了。以廉价劳动力起家的中国制造业,在把地球都印上Made in China的时候,一个话题突然间成了企业界关注的话题:以制造业发家的中国企业,要不要投入大量人力、物力研制自己的核心技术? 有人喜欢把这叫做未雨绸缪,其实在我们“绸缪”的时候,跨国公司早已把我们赶上了一条“不归路”。从2002年开始,日本三洋、索尼先后起诉比亚迪,认为比亚迪生产电池的原料和包装侵犯其知识产权; 2004年7月28日,虽然思科诉讼华为一案以双方终止诉讼了结,但是华为还是被迫作出让步,以消除思科公司的疑虑; 2004年10月,华为公司起诉三名前员工(分别为上海沪科公司、UT斯达康公司员工)涉嫌盗窃商业机密、侵害知识产权; 而最近,在新浪网上又对中国汽车模仿外国汽车讨论得如火如荼。而本田以“来宝”侵犯CR-V外观设计专利权为由,已提出起诉。没有核心技术,或者模仿别人的核心技术,毕竟不是生存、发展之道。“种大米,还是做纳米?”中国企业是做成熟技术的仿制者,还是依托本土市场的力量,寻找自主发展的方向?这一问题的答案决定了中国企业高科技发展方向和战略选择。

The answer to this question determines the direction and strategic choice of high-tech enterprises in China.
