本文重点通过对三元催化器的基本结构形式和具体工作运行原理进行介绍。在此基础上,着重分析了车用燃油品质、发动机润滑油两大导致三元催化器损坏的主要影响因素;然后,对三元催化器发动机管理系统失效(点火、燃油系统)、催化剂自身功能失效(温度过高/过低、催化转化器陶瓷载体熔化、催化床纵向裂纹、衬垫烧蚀与破损、载体沉积物表面堆积、恶臭废气排放、陶瓷载体环形裂纹)和总成机械故障进行论述,并提出了延长三元催化器使用周期的具体措施,以期提高设备元件工作性能。
