一、会议概况:省第一届各界人民代表会议,于一九五二年十二月二十三日下午开幕,正式代表七五一名,(其中政府代表三五名,部队代表七○名,民主党派代表四四名,人民团体代表五八名,区域代表四七八名,少数民族代表一○名,宗教界代表六名,治淮委员会代表三名,蚌埠铁路分局代表二名,特邀代表四五名)实到七二八名。会议中间,报告两天,小组会讨论两天,大会讨论一天,通过决议和选举协商会一天,三十日上午闭幕。这次会议,代行了省人民代表大会的职权(因省人民政府委员会成立不久,未有选举主席、副主席和委员)。在会议中,听取、审核和讨论通过了安徽解放三年来的工作和一九五三年工作任务的报告及其它各种报告,并讨论通过各项决议,选举省协商委员会主席、副主席及委
