According to eNews, just three months after the end of 2002, internationally renowned semiconductor manufacturers gathered in Shanghai, and a number of manufacturers have announced their intention to move to Shanghai. AMD plans to relocate its Asia-Pacific headquarters from Hong Kong to Shanghai; Chardente intends to set up an office in Shanghai; National Semiconductor announces that its research facilities and offices may be located in Shanghai’s Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park .
