语言是文化的载体,是文化的结晶,是反映文化的一面镜子。“语言与文化唇齿相依”(邓炎昌、刘润昌,1989)。当代美国语言学家克拉姆斯也曾说“语言教学就是文化教学”。但是长期以来,在技校英语教学中,我们多注重语法、词汇等语言知识的传授,而忽视了对学生跨文化意识的培养,造成文化差异敏感性的欠缺。不了解语言的文化背景,不了解中西文化的差异,在英语学习和用英语进行交际中屡屡出现误解,语用失误的现象。所以,在英语教学中培养学生的跨文化意识至关重要。
Language is the carrier of culture, the crystallization of culture and the mirror of culture. “Language and culture lips and teeth dependencies ” (Deng Yanchang, Liu Runchang, 1989). Krams, a contemporary American linguist, also said that “language teaching is cultural teaching.” However, for a long time, in the English teaching of technical schools, we pay more attention to the teaching of grammar and vocabulary and neglect the cultivation of cross-cultural awareness of students, resulting in the lack of cultural sensitivity. Do not understand the cultural background of the language, do not understand the differences between Chinese and Western cultures, often in English learning and communication in English misunderstanding, pragmatic failure. Therefore, cultivating students’ cross-cultural awareness in English teaching is of crucial importance.
