著名翻译家、外国文学活动家、《世界文学》前任主编叶水夫先生因病医治无效,2002年3月24日在北京病逝,享年82岁。叶水夫先生是浙江宁海人。自幼受进步思想和文学影响,参加过上海的“一二·九”学生运动。为介绍俄苏文学,很早就学习俄语。二战爆发不久,毅然放弃沪江大学物理系学业,成为《时代》周刊和不久后创刊的《苏联文艺》月刊的固定撰稿人。他担任过《时代日报》编辑,主持过该报文艺综合性副刊《新生》。建国以后,叶水夫先生曾任时代出版社副总编辑、中国科学院哲学
Renowned translator, foreign literary activist and former editor-in-chief of “World Literature” Mr. Ye Shui-fu died of illness at the age of 82 at the age of 82 on March 24, 2002 in Beijing. Mr. Ye Shui-fu is Zhejiang Ninghai people. Influenced by progressive thinking and literature since childhood, he participated in “One Two Nine” student movement in Shanghai. To introduce Russo-Soviet literature, I learned Russian very early. Soon after the outbreak of World War II, she decided to abandon her studies in Physics Department of Shanghai University and become a permanent contributor to Time magazine and the soon to be published monthly magazine “Soviet Literature and Arts”. He served as “Times Daily” editor, presided over the newspaper literary synthesis supplement “freshman.” After the founding of the PRC, Mr. Ye Shui-fu served as deputy editor of Times Publishing House, Chinese Academy of Sciences philosophy
