The world now believes that good fuel injection laws may reduce NOx emissions and combustion noise without adversely affecting fuel consumption and particulate emissions. This article from the Liszt Institute of Internal Combustion Engineers (AVL) describes the formation of a mixture as a contributing factor to the law of fuel injection.
