稍微留心自然界现象的人,就会发现植物时时有发生不正常形态的情形。一般说来这些生长不正常的情况就叫作植物的病害,换句话说植物发生这种情形就是生病了。植物病害的种类非常多,而且差不多每一种植物全都或多或少有几种病害。虽然有这么多的病害,但其中许多对于农林作物并没有引起多大损失,然而其中也有不少是相当重要的。一般农民对于植物的病害非常熟习,在他们对自然作斗争的时候,植物病害就是其中一种主要的对象。如此经过无数代的斗争经验,现在我们对于许多植物病害已经有了一些瞭解,对于防治的步骤也有了一些经验,当然这一种灾害的基本消除尚有待于今后的努力。现在把一些关于植物病害和防治方面的几点主要的认识写在下面。
