“,”Objective:To evaluate the effect of standardized use of antibiotics in type I incision operation on preventing the infec-tion and expenses. Methods:Totally 594 medical records covering 6 kinds of common type I incision operations were selected from one hospital from May 2011 to April 2013. The medical records were divided into the standardized group and non-standardized group. Com-parison analysis was performed concerning the infection percentage, hospitalization period, hospitalization costs and medicine expenses between the two groups. Results:The usage ratio of antibacterial agents in the non-standardized and standardized group was 100% and 29% (P0. 05). Medicine expenses of the standardized group was significantly lower than that of non-standardized group (P<0. 01). Conclusion:The standardized use of antibacterial agents does not increase the rate of type I inci-sion operation site infection, and can significantly reduce the medicine expenses and lower the usage risk and resistance of antimicrobial agents.
