由团中央、教育部、国家体育总局共同发起,全国亿万学生参加的“阳光体育与奥运同行”冬季长跑活动,11月6日上午在北京天安门广场举行了启动仪式。北京市大中小学生代表2008人,会同北京奥运会其他举办地上海、香港、青岛、沈阳、秦皇岛、天津的学生代表,以及全国各个省市学生代表、主办单位有关负责同志、北京奥组委代表,著名奥运冠军代表、企业代表等共同参加了启动仪式。世界中学生体育联合会主席让路易先生和秘书长杨·昆仑也应邀出席冬季长跑的启动
The “Sunshine Sports and Olympic counterparts” winter long-distance running event sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, and the State General Administration of Sports, with hundreds of millions of students across the country, was held on the morning of November 6th at the Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Representatives of Beijing’s primary and secondary school students and 2008 students, together with representatives of students from Shanghai, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shenyang, Qinhuangdao, and Tianjin in other venues of the Beijing Olympic Games, as well as student representatives from various provinces and cities across the country, comrades in charge of the organizers, representatives of the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee, Representatives of famous Olympic champions and representatives from enterprises attended the launch ceremony. Mr. Jean-Louis Jean-Louis, Chairman of the World Junior High School Sports Federation, and Secretary-General Yang Kunlun were also invited to attend the start of the winter long-distance running.
