无产阶级文化大革命以来,在毛主席革命路线指引下,我国广大贫下中农和科技人员,破除迷信,解放思想,在远缘杂交育种试验中,取得了显著的成果。如用黑麦与小麦杂交培育出的异源八倍体小黑麦,已在贵州省威宁县高寒山区大面积试种成功,受到当地贫下中农的欢迎;又如吉林省海龙县朝鲜族老贫农李贞生同志,用玉米和水稻杂交培育出的玉米稻,具有抗旱、抗寒、耐瘠薄、抗病等特点,在适宜的栽培管理条件下,亩产可达千斤,巳在生产上应用,深受贫下中农的好评。
