On the occasion of the late summer and early autumn, I walked through the well-known Beijing Electronics Street, with some mystery, and stepped into the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. There, I did not see the robots that have won the best of the best and the real and the dilemmas have been fortunate enough to meet Professor Dai Ruwei, a famous expert on artificial intelligence and cybernetics in our country. He has profound accomplishments in the field of pattern recognition, knowledge engineering and thinking sciences, and is a newly elected member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. I seize this heaven-sent opportunity to immediately interview Professor Dai. “Robot is not my area of study,” says Professor Dai. “My job is to study how to use machines to replace part of a person’s mental work. As for pattern recognition, it can be described as an automatic postal sorting: the computer is based on the zip code Of course, we study much more complicated than this, and we have to allow the computer to recognize Chinese characters (including handwriting) directly, and to have the machine work according to people’s ”instructions“ for a long time Not far away. By then, the computer’s functionality and efficiency will make a breakthrough. ”
