The installation of gravel drain piles is one of the measures taken by the engineering community to prevent sand liquefaction. Regarding the installation of gravel drain piles for the treatment of liquefiable soil layers, Seat et al. proposed a simplified analytical calculation method and presented a set of curves for design. Jijian Jizhao et al. showed that the installation of drainage piles on the entire liquefaction depth on both sides of the foundation can significantly reduce the increase in excess pore water pressure and reduce the foundation settlement. This paper describes the effect of drainage piles with different layouts on preventing sand liquefaction and reducing sedimentation. This includes setting up shallow drainage piles (the pile does not penetrate the entire liquefiable depth). Treatment of liquefiable sand bases and use of external drainage piles There is the effect of liquefiable sand base under the building.
