1981年2月24日,雅典(希腊)城于晚上10点53分发生了一次6.7级地震,随后3天又发生了3次较严重的和15次轻微余震。据报道,在震后头三天,死于心脏病和冠心病者分别增加50％和100％,尤其在震后的第三天是死亡的高峰。死者中男性多于女性,69岁以上的老年人更为明显。
On February 24, 1981, a magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck Athens (Greece) at 10:53 p.m., and three more serious and 15 minor aftershocks took place three days later. It is reported that in the first three days after the earthquake, those who died of heart disease and coronary heart disease increased by 50% and 100% respectively, especially the third day after the earthquake was the peak of death. Among the dead, more males than females were more obvious in the elderly over the age of 69.
