伴生金在长江中、下游各省已探明的金矿储量中占重要地位.江苏省目前已知伴生金矿床和矿点(金品位>0.1g/T)共计11处,可分为四个成因类型,即(1)火山热液型含金铜矿;(2)沉积加火山热液型含金黄铁矿;(3)中、低温热液型含金铅锌矿;(4)矽卡岩型含金铜(钼)矿和铁矿.其中中、低温热液铅锌矿中的伴生金最为重要,占全省现有金矿储量的四分之三.伴生金矿床规模可达中型至大型.江苏省宁镇地区,与中酸性岩浆岩有成因联系的铜铅锌矿床中的伴生金占江苏省现有金矿储量的90%.此外,云台山黄铁矿床和利国斑井地区也是寻找伴生金的有利地区.
