Inspired by Chairman Mao’s great call on “handling the Yellow River well”, the people in northern Shaanxi carried forward the revolutionary spirit of Yan’an, made great achievements in the capital construction of farmland and water conservancy by using water fall damming technology. Since the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, the size of the barrage has been built by means of water fall, with nearly 10,000 silt dam. Water fall dam is the use of mechanical pumping or gravity water impact on the soil, mixing into slurry, input dam surface, after dehydration consolidated into a dam body.
