小事记Happenings in 1994一年初,拟以400万元人民币买下辽宁足球队并签约40年的新世界集团与球队方面发生冲突,辽宁队拒绝与新世界正式签约,闹出了著名的“新世界风波”。2月26日,远东集团接手辽足,辽宁远东俱乐部成立。3月17日至20日,中国足协在昆明进行了20支球队参加的体能测试,结果359名球员中有245人达标,114人不合格,其中28人被禁止参加补测。被淘汰的著名球员有李红军(吉林)、翟飙(北京)、李红兵(江苏)和蔡晟、冯志刚(武钢)等。4月17日,经过重新包装的万宝路全国足球甲级(A组)联赛正式开始,开幕式在成都举行。共有15万人现场观看了首轮职业联赛,其中成都和延吉的现场观众均超过四万人。

A total of 150,000 people watched the first round of professional league live, including Chengdu and Yanji on-site audience of more than 40,000 people.
