Long-term efficacy of aortic regurgitation in patients with ventricular septal defect after repair The authors reviewed the long-term outcomes of 70 patients with aortic regurgitation (AI) with surgical repair of 70 patients with ventricular septal defect (VSD) from 1968 to 1988 . The age of the patients ranged from 1.96 to 35.9 years (average 10.1 years), of which 11 were younger than 15 years and 4 were older than 18 years.
