In the fast-flowing space created by globalization, major events are one of the means to effectively enhance the competitiveness of cities. There are extensive and in-depth interactions between big events and mobile spaces, and big events can promote the transformation of mobile space into space. The function of global events in the metropolitan flow space is characterized by the lagged effect aiming at the attraction of factors, the strategic impact of expansion of traffic flow, the material reorganization with the expansion of capacity expansion as the mainstay, and the functional performance led by functional renewal for. This paper takes the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as an empirical case study and finds that the Beijing Olympic Games had a “low” effect on the flow of people and induced a “blowout” effect on the flow of funds. The paper also analyzed the linear and planar network systems of flow space and Functional areas produce a comprehensive update and succession. In the end, this paper puts forward suggestions on how to organize the matching, selective attraction and systematic support for major events,
