在先进性教育活动中,每一个共产党员都必须首先搞清楚一个重要问题:什么是共产党员的先进性?如何在平凡的岗位上体现先进性? 党员先进性是党的先进性的基础。党员的先进性如何,直接关系着党的执政地位能否巩固, 关系着党的事业的兴衰成败。《党章》明确规定: “中国共产党党员是中国工人阶级的有共产主义觉悟的先锋战士”。所谓“先锋”,就是走在最前面的人。在全面建设小康社会、加强党的执政能力和先进性建设的今天,共产党员要保持先进性, 必须充分发挥党员先锋模范作用,在任何时候、任何情况下,始终走在群众最前面,并以自己的先锋模范作用宣传群众、教育群众、凝聚群众。
