孟津县位于河南西部。黄河自西向东流过孟津,全长60公里,沿岸滩涂约8万亩,渔业资源十分丰富。1984年冬开始兴建“黄河鲤鱼商品鱼基地”,到1989年冬,五年迈了五大步,每年都以千亩以上的速度向前发展。截止到1989年底,全县养殖水面已经达到了6945亩,鱼产量首次突破100万公斤,达到114.5万公斤。在开发养殖水面的同时,从1986年起还兴建了一批配套服务设施,自此孟津县“万亩黄河
